The second leg of the Winter League fit4life took place at a frosty riverside last Thursday as 120 hardy participants faced a testing 2 mile run which was an out and back route along the cycle and pedestrian path so well laid out by the Borough Council.
The handicapper erred on the generous side with Maurice Meade who took full advantage and came home well clear in an impressive 12mins 47 seconds ahead of Sligo AC's promising young walker Orla Delahunt with Winnie Connolly in third
Michael O Connell was fastest on the night ahead of Conal Sexton and Tom Meehan while Roseanne Mitchell was fastest women ahead of Cindy Mc Carthy and the improving Geraldine Gilroy.
