Special Olympics Fundraising Day
Thousands of people will take to the roads and streets of Ireland on Friday, April 15th to shake their buckets and raise essential funding for Special Olympics Ireland. This is the biggest annual fundraising event in aid of Special Olympics. We aim to raise €1 million in one day and we need your help. We need volunteers all over Ireland to shake a bucket in their local communities. If you think you can spare an hour or two on the 15th April please email connaughtvol@specialolympics.ie or go to www.specialolympics.ie and click on your county to register your interest in becoming involved. If you would like to be more involved with the planning and organising of this day in your area/county please get in touch with our Fundraising Coordinator Lydia Rogers at Lydia.rogers@specialolympics.ie or call 071 9118320.

Sligo AC Update: Novice Cross Country Championships

Sligo AC's best hope for an individual medal, Eimear O Brien, was agonisingly caught for the bronze medal position in the Womens individual race but had the consolation of leading the County team to third place along with Roseanne Mitchell of Sligo AC as they combined with Ashling Van Rensburg and Amy McCool of North Sligo to beat off some well fancied teams.
